100 BLOCK - SOUTH SIDE EAST FOURTH STREET MARKET STREET TP WASHINGTON STREET CONTINUED
CThe Ceramic Theater, date unknown. However, it would be early on because of the pillars in the front. Those are removed later on. The date that event took place is unknown as well.
The Ceramic Theater, possibly late 1930s or very early 40s. Note that the pillars are gone..
Possibly late 1940s or in the 1950s.
Looking near the intersection of E. 4th St. and Washington Street. The building on the far side of Washington Street was at one time the post office. The building on the south side west of Washington is unknown but obviously before the YMCA was built in that same spot.
100 BLOCK - SOUTH SIDE EAST FOURTH STREET MARKET STREET T0 WASHINGTON STREET - TODAY
The modern day YMCA building.
A modern-day look at the south side of the street. The large white building on the far right is on the west side of Market Street. Where the hot dog shop is located is the first building on the east side of market Street and is where that Heddleston Brothers Groceries store was located.
This picture and the next shows how all those buildings are now gone. Mostly parking lots now.
200 BLOCK - NORTH SIDE EAST FOURTH STREET WASHINGTON STREET TO BROADWAY STREET
This is a somewhat unique drawing by the late Glenn Waight. I probably could've offered it sooner but it works here as well since it includes fourth Street heading eastward to Broadway. The date would definitely be around the mid-1850s or possibly around 1870.
